JOY!

JOY!


They say Joy, when found, will burn out any and all pain. Who believes that? In October my DAPs group EXPERIENCED DAPtober. ONE of our Month’s Challenges was to identify what our HAPPY WORLD would look like( write it down) and Then WRITE OUT what steps and actions GETTING there would look like. Let me say this, It was a real challenge. Exhausting, overwhelming, even. Many of us realized that, in a lot of ways, we WERE HAPPY and LOVED our world as it was. What we thought Happy looked like were, merely, ideas. Planted by close ones or society. 🔥Sis: Like, no, I don’t have to nor WANT to go back to school. 😅 Joy, in this case,was found by realizing they weren’t interested in DOING the work GETTING THERE would demand and/or it was just not a part of their dreams. 🤷🏾‍♀️Some of us realized that we were further away than we realized and needed to GET STARTED. 🏃🏾‍♀️Sometimes, just figuring it out relieves a lot of emotional pressure. 

My greatest take away was Joy is simply living for you. Love what you have, where you are or CHANGE IT.
Life’s not a suffering event. If you don’t want IT it’s ok. If it doesn’t make you feel good RELEASE IT. IF IT HURTS YOU MOVE AWAY FROM IT.

🎉You Listen with your eyes Open. 🎉Move while Taking Deep Breaths. 🎉Don’t worry about expectations that aren’t your very own.
🎉Pay attention to where your feet are planted right now. How do they feel? You may already be standing in your Joy.
🎉No? Well, Go Get Your Joy, DAP!
🔥While you journey towards it, Accept it will and should Smell, Look, Taste and Feel unlike anyone else’s. It does take work. In some cases, the work may already be done. 😉
